It has been a fantastic journey, and I enjoyed every single moment of it. HKBU MScDABE programme provided the opportunity to emerge full-time in business economics, data strategy, and predictive analytics. Throughout the two semesters, there were challenging projects, industry experts meetings, guest speaker series, bootcamps, workshops, competitions, and multiple touchpoints to become proficient in Machine Learning and popular programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL. I particularly appreciated the applied technical aspect of the program curriculum to leverage the gained knowledge directly into solving problems and challenges at work. The MScDABE programme also provides functional development for its students, including CV clinics, interview preparation, career services, and networking events. I also have to mention the great work done by the HKBU Business Entrepreneurship Support and Training (BEST) team to equip students with business acumen, entrepreneurial spirit, startup training, and funding. Thanks to all of these opportunities to learn, upskill, and network, I was fortunate to win the Hong Kong Techathon 2021 in the AI & Fintech category, successfully enter into a one-year startup support program with HKSTP, and secure scholarship for the Berkeley Method of Entrepreneurship Bootcamp with University of California. Last but not least, the HKBU Internationalisation Section will make you feel at home with the vast offerings of webinars, parties, campus tours, coffee chats, student ambassador network, offsite events, and an overall welcoming community spirit.
