The assessment emphasises project-based learning. Most of the courses require the completion of individual and/or group projects. The nature and scope of the projects vary according to course and learner needs.
A combination of assessment methods are normally used in one course including class discussion and participation, assignments, tests, presentations and other methods of academic assessment. The course assessment methods will be shown in HKBU DABE course outline.
Knowledge
Students will be able to identify the challenges of digital economy and apply economic principles to think strategically about business decisions.
Creativity
Students will be able to demonstrate ability in choosing appropriate algorithms and implementing programming languages for business analysis.
Skills
Students will be able to define business problem clearly and identify appropriate analytical tools to address the issues.
Communication
Students will be able to interpret the data outcomes and deliver the crucial findings and insights effectively through data visualization for business analysis.
Citizenship
Students will be able to formulate solutions to real-world problems with data analytics and/ or economic principles.
Students are required to take ten courses, of which Five are required courses and Five are elective courses.
The normal duration of the programme is 1-year full time or 2-year part-time.
The medium of instruction is English.
