Initiating the journey of obtaining my Master’s degree abroad has been an exciting and challenging experience. Data analytics is considered one of the hottest career paths at the moment. During my study in the MSc in Data Analytics and Business Economics Programme (MScDABE Programme), I have developed a comprehensive understanding of the topic and obtained a set of data analytics and programming skills needed to start a successful career in the industry. Additionally, our professors are insightful and approachable. They all have a long professional and academic trajectory and they are readily available whenever we had questions. They are very willing to share information of how the theories can be applied to solve real-life problems. After graduation, I am now working as a Business Analyst Trainee at Carrefour Global Sourcing. Studying the MScDABE Programme at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) has been a great experience for me. HKBU provides students with a variety of opportunities to promote professional and personal growth. Living in Hong Kong is never dull and Hong Kong people are always polite and friendly. My time in HKBU was beyond my expectations. I am very optimistic about my prospects with all the knowledge I have obtained from the MScDABE Programme.
